Beautiful Fine Art Giclee Reproduction Prints: How Modern Scanners Have Changed The Art World
The impact of today's advancement in technological expertise has changed how we view art particularly in the arena of Giclee's (reproductions/prints of original art pieces). From simplifying our ability to seek out materials to create art to how we record art, the power of technology makes how art is presented to the marketplace easier, more affordable, and most importantly, more available to the average person who wishes to brighten their home with enjoyable art. This article will focus its energies around the amazing advancements within our ability to record digital images with scanners along with the resulting effect on how these improvements have helped develop a mushrooming market for all artists who want to share or sell their creations.
A spectacular fine art Giclée (art reproduction/print) will start from a good digital copy. To generate that perfect digital image, either a digital camera or scanner copies an original work of art. With artwork which is computer generated, there is no need to scan or photograph the art. The fact that most art is painted, drawn, or etched, makes using a scanner or digital camera vital.
Scanning is by far the most desired digital method of recording original artwork for a number of reasons. To find out why, let us have a quick look at the story of scanners. The first image scanner was developed in 1957 under the direction of Russell Kirsch. Fascinatingly, the very first image ever scanned was of Kirsch's 3-month-old son Walden. Progressing from the first drum scanners that used Photomultiplier Tubes to present day flatbed and handheld scanners that use CCD (Charged Coupled Device) or CIS (Contact Image Sensor), images at this time are recorded in a pixel (dot) file format. With each pixel containing the three primary colors red, blue, and yellow, the digital capturing of color can be as true as the colors of nature. The real file size (number of pixels) in the image scanned can determine the picture quality. Correspondingly, because of the ongoing development in functionality of digital sensors, file sizes continue to increase allowing the ability to capture 3D images.
The advantages of using a scanner are many. Firstly, there will not be difficulties with glare, highlights, or shadows brought on by technical components of the artwork like brushstroke. The scanning sensors use a light which is always shining directly on the item of artwork being recorded, avoiding these problems. Secondly, the distortion of colors and edges are eradicated because the digital sensors which record every aspect associated with each piece of art use an operating program which functions using close, consistent, and repetitive movements. Finally, the ability to recreate these images to virtually any dimension is now possible due to the continued advancements in file size (number of pixels).
The wonders of today's fine art scanners to copy works of art have opened the doors to art enjoyment by every person on the planet. Today's artists can now effectively exhibit images their artwork on the internet - a genuine worldwide fine art gallery. The true beneficiaries of these stunning technological breakthroughs in art reproduction are those who yearn to see and experience the artistic creations of those who are daring enough to express them.

Mark Kumar - How A Secure Online Wedding Gallery Can Help You And Yours Relive Your Special Day?
Now that computers are becoming more common and everyone knows how to use them. People are able to do a lot more things with them. Also, they can do those things a lot faster thanks to a little thing call "Internet". Or as "Bill Gates" would say "A Cloud".
Isn't it amazing how the internet has made our life so easier? For example, if I want to know what movies are playing in theaters, all I would do is go to movies.com and type in my zip code. Like magic, the site will show me what theaters and what movies are playing near me. You know what the amazing part is – I could do that in less than 10 seconds!!! Isn't that cool???
You know what else is cool? The internet gives us the ability to share our pictures with friends, family and loves ones. We could share our photographs of our special occasions. Like birthday parties, family portraits, and weddings.
Just think if you are getting married and for some medical reason your grand parents wouldn't be able to attend your wedding. Thanks to the internet and your photographer (like me
) who offers secure online gallery, your grand parents would be able to relive your special day with your awesome wedding photographs.
If for some business reason your best friend couldn't attend your wedding, you could just send your best friend the information on how to view your wedding photographs online. Personally (I am sure you would feel the same) I would hurt my best friend if he couldn't show up for my wedding.
But hey… life happens. Sometimes you don't have control over things and I would understand if he couldn't make it. I wouldn't like it but I would understand. Least I would know that he could relive the day through my wedding photographs.
Thanks to the internet, I can offer my wedding clients a secure online gallery for them and their friends and family. So they can relive their special day as many times as they want to!!!
You know what the best part is? My clients can view their awesome wedding photographs in less than 10 seconds!!! Here is a Mark Kumar Example Wedding Gallery for you. Take a look.

The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction $4.49 One of the most important works of cultural theory ever written, Walter Benjamin's groundbreaking essay explores how the age of mass media means audiences can listen to or see a work of art repeatedly and what the troubling social and political implications of this are. Throughout history, some books have changed the world. They have transformed the way we see ourselves and each other. They have inspired debate, dissent, war and revolution. They have enlightened, outraged, provoked and comforted. They have enriched lives and destroyed them. Now Penguin brings you the works of the great thinkers, pioneers, radicals and visionaries whose ideas shook civilization and helped make us who we are. |

Mirroring the Greatest Art: Reproductions
Ever dreamed of owning a priceless work of art and perhaps even having it in your own home? But then you realized such a dream can usually never be possible due to the fact that such paintings are usually restricted to museums or else have a price tag that is completely out of your reach. But maybe the art lover inside you isn't satisfied. So what can you do?
Well there is a specific field of painting that has emerged to meet this need which is known as art reproduction. What exactly is art reproduction? It is the process of skilfully recreating a painting completely 100% from scratch. The end result is that a perfect copy of the original painting is created. In fact only a trained eye with the right equipment would ever notice that the painting isn't real.
Through this process art lovers can hang world famous paintings such as the Mona Lisa or Night Watch in their own living room. Of course this process wasn't exclusively used for the creation of artwork to be hung in the home and has several other purposes. One such purpose is to create a duplicate version of the original painting for public display when the original is too priceless to display publicly.
Another less noble use of art reproductions is that of creating fakes that could be passed on to unsuspecting buyers as the real thing. However regardless of how good the artist is no fake can escape detection by an expert.
The budding painter might also try their own hand at art reproduction and create a recreation of their own. But for those who have no artistic talent of their own the option of purchasing such reproductions is far more alluring.
A variety of online art galleries offering art reproductions can be found that offer not only offer reproductions but also some original works of art as well. For those who don't have the time to go looking for art the option of buying art online is also available bringing with it greater convenience.

Great Paintings $30 Great Paintings is a sumptuous, visual guided tour of 66 of the world's greatest paintings. Ranging from works by Zhang Zeduan, a 12th-century Chinese master, to modern masterpieces by Rothko and Anselm Kiefer, the paintings are arranged chronologically, providing an excellent visual introduction to the history of art. The book starts with how to "read" a painting. Annotated paintings show how to identify the key elements of a picture. The major part of the book is a magnificent visual gallery of iconic paintings. The story behind each painting is fully explained, unlocking the often hidden meanings of symbols and details. Each painting is then analyzed visually, using pull-out details and overlays, to help the reader understand the key features, composition, and techniques. Artists' biographies and features on historical and social context explore how landmark paintings have been influenced by what has gone before and how they go on to inspire what comes after them. Reading Great Paintings is like being taken around a gallery by a personal guide who helps you to look at paintings-both familiar and new-in fresh and fascinating ways. An Experienced Artist On Animal Portraiture
Giving a gift has a built in hazard. A waiting period is usually inevitable before you notice the person liking the gift or not. It is more thrilling to wait when you know it was the president who accepted your gift. Bringing her gift with her, she even had to sign for a visitor's pass prior to going in. A guard took delivery on the bag which contained a portrait of the President's horse, Little Man.
The artist, who lives on Old National Pike with her husband and their six month old son, paints animal portraits. After taking art courses in high school and animal portrait lessons, she turned her love of animals and a knack for portraiture into a business. She has become one successful artist with her business thriving immensely.
With her pastels she draws the animals with the pictures that she has taken or that the owners have taken. With her horse portraits she often uses show photos. After working with various animals such as horses, cats, dogs, a goat, parakeets and guinea pigs, she claims they all have a special place with her. Though she mostly does portraits of furry animals, she is open to working with fishes and even turtles using oil paints. With her expertise she is able to alter the way the animal looks like such as making it look younger or taking away any defects.
She had thought about painting Little Man for a while now so she then wrote the president's wife and asked her for photos she could follow. Later on the Special Assistant to the President and Director of Correspondence sent her a reply with some colored photos of the president and the horse. With the mailed photos, her normal process was somehow disrupted. It was her habit to really go and see the animal and the owner as well and make notes on color and other things since photos sometimes like.
Little Man had sadly passed away, though the project was still underway. According to her, all that she hopes is that the president will show more appreciation for her work. It was important that she finish her work, so getting into it she roughly divided it into four. Using a pastel, she made lines that marked where the dark, medium and light shadow tones were. Following this, she added in some color blending it in with her fingers.
Upon adding the background, light blue was the chosen color for Little Man. The last step, says the artist, was making it look real. The artist spent many nights adding the details that would make the portrait look as authentic as possible.
She enjoyed making a portrait for Little Man. Given that she loves horses too, she has one which is in Poolesville. Along with her horse is a cat, a dog and a goat. She says she is proud to have done the portrait for the president, and expresses the sentiments of gift givers everywhere.
